• Managing the requirements, design, implementation, testing, and integration of modules or subsystems, ensuring alignment with the overarching architectural specifications.
• Guaranteeing the design aligns with higher-level architectural needs and adheres to specified requirements.
• Incorporating safety, reliability, and quality considerations into the proposed designs.
• Ensuring the design satisfies performance, quality, and cost objectives.
• Leading concept and feasibility studies and pioneering the adoption of new technologies.
• Preparing thorough and standards-compliant documentation for the developed designs.
• Maintaining consistency and effective integration of individual components within modular designs that fulfill product specifications.
• Ensuring modules meet certification standards required for the product.

Skills:

• Proficiency in advanced tools and methods, such as CAD and simulation, for electrical design.
• Hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal board design, as well as power electronics.
• Familiarity with 16/32-bit microcontroller-based design and interface development.
• Expertise in cable harness design and communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, CAN, EtherCAT, Ethernet, and USB.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC standards and testing procedures for compliance.
• Strong experience with schematic and PCB design software, such as Cadence or Mentor Graphics.
• Proficiency in DFMEA and developing fail-safe systems and subsystems.
• Solid understanding of motors, motor drivers, and position/speed encoders, including the ability to analyze motor performance in various operating modes like regenerative braking.
• Experience designing communication gateways is a bonus.
• Familiarity with battery chargers and battery management systems, either through design or selection, is advantageous.
• Expertise in designing high-speed digital interfaces.
• A strong foundation in electromagnetic fields and experience designing electronics for environments with high ambient magnetic and electromagnetic fields.
• Understanding of patient safety requirements, including insulation diagrams and Means of Protection (MOPP/MOOP).
• Awareness of compatibility aspects in mechanical design.
• Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards is a plus.

QuEST Global Off Campus Qualification: 

• A degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (BE/BTech/ME/MTech) from a recognized university.
